The Insect Box team plans to implement the modern, industrialized technology of growing mealworm beetles in its digitized and automated farm.
About Us
The Insect box company founded in 2021 Šiauliai, Lithuania with the aim of breeding, processing and marketing insects for consumption, we offer a real alternative to traditional protein sources.
The idea to rearing mealworms was born in 2018. Now we have experience in breeding and rearing mealworms. We have made a science research with the scientists from the Center for Natural Research in Vilnius in mealworms growth performance and nutrient composition on the topic “Uptake of food for insects, its impact on growth, productivity and desease resistance”.
Currently our team consists of three persons. In our company we are responsible by focus on a sustainable production.
Our aim is sustainability and traceability in every step. We are committed to using enviromentally friendly products from the Lithuanian agriculture and food industry for our breeding process.
